Our Eldership Team, together with the Vicar, is a group of members called out from our congregation, approved by the PCC, and, having been members of the old Ministry Leadership Team, were commissioned by the Bishop. They work with delegated authority from the PCC to oversee the pastoral and leadership work of St Matthew's. As well as discerning the need and direction of ministry and mission, they are all involved with leading services and preaching and some have the bishop's permission to take Communion by Extension.
 Greg Hallett
Greg is married to Julie and they have 3 sons. Having been brought up in the Nottingham area he is a lifelong Nottingham Forest supporter and a keen sportsman. Unfortunately after surgery to his knee, he has had to give up playing football, cricket and badminton but is keen to play more golf. He enjoys music and films and would recommend “Inside Man” as the best Bank Robbery Film ever!
Greg chairs the Eldership team, is on the preaching team and is involved with Nurturing new Christians and also for Outreach via sport.
 Roger Huggins
Roger grew up in north London where he became a Christian at the local Crusader class. He enjoys playing tennis and badminton, walking, gardening and travelling. As a volunteer he is the Transport Manager for Badminton England at their major international events, notably the All England Championships held in Birmingham every year and the European and World Championships when they are held in England. He has been married to Dianne for 35 years and they have two married sons and one grandson and another grandchild expected later in the year.
Roger is one of the Churchwardens at St Matthew's and the Group Administrator.
 Joyce Lewis
Joyce enjoys cross-stitch, calligraphy and arm-chair bird-watching. She and Jim have been married for over 50 years and they have a grown-up son and daughter and three lovely grand-daughters. Having served as a missionary in Africa for many years, Joyce has a deep knowledge and love of scripture and Bible based teaching.
Joyce is on the Preaching Team and is involved with encouraging Bible reading.
